HELLO EVERYONE!!

Last week, all 110 of us in my leadership track launched out in 9 teams across Europe and the Middle East, preaching the gospel, praying for the sick and oppressed, and partnering with what God is already doing!

Turkey Outreach

I was in Turkey, and it was a crazy, tender, faith-filled, joyful, impactful, and stretching time.

God is Moving in Turkey!!

God is pursuing His people again and again. I have so much confidence and faith in our intentional, sovereign, merciful God who keeps drawing people’s eyes and hearts toward Him.

We went all out, pouring into prayer, evangelism, and sharing Jesus with as many people as we could. We had so many real conversations about Jesus, faith, purpose, and eternity. People heard the gospel, were prayed for, and even downloaded the Bible.

The spiritual atmosphere is still heavy, with deep resistance and deep need. This is a land that is super unreached by the gospel. 99.2% of Turkey’s population is unreached. Most people walking the streets have likely never heard the gospel, and that absolutely wrecks me.

They don’t know relationship with God, His sacrifice on the cross, the hope, joy, peace, freedom, healing, and transformation that come from His power. God is not receiving glory in these places yet.

A deep urgency has been reignited in me to pray, to give, and to partner with what God is doing in Turkey. I feel stretched in my faith, in my prayers, in how much I trust God, but I also feel so alive. My faith is stirred by how intentional God is.

Turkey testimonies!

  • A devout Muslim man approached my friends and said he could sense they were Christians. Another YWAM team had already shared the gospel with him earlier this year, and he told us he had dreams of a man in white. He agreed to download the Bible app and read the Gospels. God is pursuing him! PRAY FOR HIM

  • A missionary in Turkey said multiple YWAMers had shared the gospel with him over different seasons, and he could not escape God’s pursuit. He eventually gave his life to Jesus and is now being trained as a missionary!!

  • A girl I spoke with had never been told she was beautiful, valuable, or loved. As we talked about Jesus and our identity in Christ, her heart began to open

  • Another girl told me she had never thought life was supposed to be joyful. She had been living in a religion that told her life was about work, obligation, and duty - with no joy or freedom. But as I shared the love of Jesus, the joy of salvation, and the freedom He brings, her eyes lit up. She was amazed that God wants her to live a life full of joy, laughter, and peace!!

  • A young boy heard the whole gospel, downloaded the Bible, and read the Gospel of Mark the next day. He even missed his train because he didn’t want to stop talking!

  • Another young man wanted to come to our Bible school, downloaded the Bible app, and felt the peace of Jesus

  • Multiple people shared that they had dreams of Jesus

  • A woman in a hijab had a long conversation with my friend, heard about Jesus, downloaded the Bible app, and said she would read it

  • A non-believer told me that whenever she is desperate, she runs to the church to ask Christians to pray because prayer works. When she was pregnant, doctors told her to abort due to complications, but Christians prayed, supported her, and loved her, and her baby was born perfectly healthy. Her daughters are her whole world! Pray for her to encounter Jesus Himself. She has literally witnessed a miracle, seen the power of prayer and the kindness of God through His people. But she still doesn’t want to surrender her life to Him. PRAY for her heart to be opened to Jesus and for a personal encounter with His love that transforms her life.

This reminded me of the disciples - they witnessed so many miracles, yet at the cross, all but John abandoned Him. It wasn’t until John 21, after the resurrection, when Jesus made them breakfast on the beach and met them with unconditional love. compassion, grace, and pursuit, that everything changed. That encounter became the pivot that eventually led them (all but John) to die as martyrs for the gospel.

It’s the love of Jesus, His kindness, His nearness, and His patient pursuit that transforms hearts.

Statistically, Muslims often come to Jesus through two main things:

  1. Dreams

  2. Hospitality from Christians

We felt that urgency - “You need to tell him.”

That holy fear of the Lord: “This is important. This is eternal.”

It felt scary but simple. Again and again, we saw that God’s presence is all we need, bringing real transformation.

Hagia Sophia

We visited Hagia Sophia, once one of the greatest cathedrals in the world, built in 537 AD to glorify God, covered in beautiful mosaics of Jesus, John, Mary, and angels. But after the Ottoman conquest, it became a mosque, and many mosaics were covered. Today it is a mosque, with veiled images of Jesus still existing behind curtains.

Standing there wrecked me. A place originally built for the worship of Jesus is now used to worship a false god, yet the face of Christ is still there. It reminded me that God’s story cannot be erased. His glory is still pursuing this nation.

Nineveh was saved in a day. If God could flip an entire city in a single day, He can absolutely do that in Turkey. SO LET’S PRAY!!!

PRAYER POINTS FOR TURKEY

  1. Open hearts and revelation

Pray that Jesus would reveal Himself through dreams, conversations, and supernatural encounters, and that Turks would respond with hunger and boldness

  2. Strengthening the church

Pray for the tiny Christian community in Turkey for courage, unity, protection, and deep discipleship

  3. Breaking spiritual resistance

Pray for strongholds of religion, fear, and deception to crumble. Pray for the gospel to go forth with power, clarity, and joy

It’s all about Him - His country, His people, His glory, His worship.

May Turkey know Jesus, and may He receive His inheritance there!!

God Moving Across Europe

And it’s not just Turkey - God is moving across all of Europe!! People are encountering Jesus in bars in Portugal, in the red-light district of Amsterdam, on beaches in Spain, and on park benches in London. The harvest is ripe.

  • In Spain, one friend received a word of knowledge for a girl she hadn’t met. God led her step by step until she found the girl. When she shared, the girl was touched by the Holy Spirit for the first time and overwhelmed by His love

  • In Amsterdam, a friend shared Jesus with two guys in the red-light district, and after they prayed felt God’s presence for the first time

  • In Portugal, a team prayed for a man, and Jesus healed his foot!!! He started crying as he realised that he could move it without pain!

  • In London, a team obeyed God to speak to a man sitting alone on a bench. The man told them he had tried taking his life multiple times and was sitting there deciding how to do it. But instead, he encountered Jesus and got saved right there!! Immediately after giving his life to Jesus, he said he needed to tell someone else. He walked over to a man outside Five Guys, someone also addicted to alcohol and drugs, and shared what Jesus had just done for him. And that man was also saved!!

SO MANY prayers, gospel seeds, healings, salvations and freedom in the name of Jesus were witnessed!! God is getting more and more glory!!

Please pray for the power, love and truth of Jesus to go forth in the whole of Europe!! That whole families would be set on fire for Jesus, glorifying him in everything and following in his ways!! I have so much faith what God is doing in Europe!!

What will our response be?

This is the gospel. This is the power of the Holy Spirit. Knowing and loving God, and letting that love overflow into the lives of everyone around us, compels us to go and love boldly.

God IS moving.

He IS pursuing hearts, drawing people to Himself, and working in power across the world.

May these testimonies stir our hearts with compassion, love, and boldness!!

May we ask, “Lord, who do You want to love through me today?” And when He highlights someone, may we step out with courage and confidence, knowing we never go alone.

“Surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28

Thank you for standing with me, praying, sowing, and believing. God is not done in Turkey or Europe. He is moving, He is calling, and He is preparing hearts. Let’s keep asking Him for more courage, more power, and a massive harvest for His glory.

Colossians 3:2 "Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things."

Matthew 28:18-20 “Jesus came and told his disciples, ‘I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’”

Acts 1:8“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere - in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Please let me know of prayer requests, I would love to pray for you and your community!!

With so much love and faith,

Olivia <3
