2nd month!!!

I've been in Kona for 2 months now!!! The Lord is so sweet and beautiful. I can’t even comprehend his glory and goodness. Every single day God has been with me, showing me his character. He is a good God, one who cares deeply about every individual. I’ve meditated a lot about the parable of the lost sheep, he loves us so much, and wants to be a good father! This is displayed as giving us the desires of our hearts, giving clarity, convicting us, and growing us to be better. He also loves the individual in the unreached nation. The one. The one on the isolated island with a population of 10. The one in a 98% Muslim nation. We need to reach the one, we need to go, to make disciples, we need to go, and fulfil The Great Commission. 

“Which one of you, having a hundred sheep and losing one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness and go after the one that is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders and rejoices. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’  Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.”

Luke 15:1-7 

In the last month, we had Pure Heart Week, an amazing program by Tom and Donna Cole. This focussed on finding healing and freedom for ourselves to then be able to help and train others. This is using the Beatitudes, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in Matthew, teaching about what it means to live as a child of God's kingdom. We went through forgiveness, repentance, and specific heart wounds like real masculinity and femininity. The following week was Freedom Week with Chloe and Derek Mack from Circuit Riders! Calling us higher and finding freedom in how Jesus lived, with courage, without passivity or anxiety or fear of man, and living with an offendable heart. 

I'm so amazed at how God has transformed my heart, thoughts, and view on so many things. God continues to meet me and slowly issues within my heart and mind have been revealed and healed. I serve a good God who wants the absolute best for my life and WANTS to convict us to bring freedom and peace! I’ve been able to have more of an eternal perspective, and I’m learning how to walk that out every moment.

In the weeks following, we then had David Gava teaching on prayer and hearing God's voice. Herbert and Nicole, two long-term missionaries, spoke on missions week and the reality of what life is like on the mission field. Lastly, we were blessed with Amy Ward for Holy Spirit week!!

I cannot express how much I truly loved these speakers. I can’t tell you how much I learnt and how on fire for missions I left, the revelation that as Christians we die to ourselves and wholeheartedly surrender to God was imminent. Our walk on earth is truly about walking with Jesus every day and learning the Father’s voice: "My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me” John 10:27. We need to strive for a deeper relationship with God every day. In terms of our calling and purpose…we give up our lives and will for the glory of God to be known, following his commands, Matthew 28 “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” and walking in faith that God will provide, make a way and guide us, meaning there's no pressure to do anything but be obedient. I'm learning the importance of simple obedience, asking the Lord what to do in simple matters and just following it in faith. While it could not be from God, as long as it is line with his character and scripture, God will honour our faith and obedience. God will help us along the way as we step out in faith! You cannot save, heal or help the ‘wrong’ people. God WILL redirect you if it’s his will. 

The Holy Spirit is a real person who is our Helper, Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor, Counsellor, Strengthened and Standby (John 14:26)!!! How amazing!! It was incredible to learn more about being baptized in fire and the gifts of the Spirit!

I continually am so thankful that God spoke to me and sent me. Multiple visions and pictures God gave me years ago that I had no idea what they meant are becoming a reality, or are now only just starting to be revealed. I’m so thankful that the Holy Spirit is with me all the time helping me every step of the way. I’m so thankful that God is a good God who loves us so much!!!

I'm also just so in love with Hawaii! It has been such a blessing to live in such a beautiful nation! I'm in awe of God's creation every time I see a sunset or rainbow. It is such a great reminder of God's goodness, and he didn't have to create such a beautiful thing but he did.

I leave for Outreach in one month! It’s absolutely crazy! How has it crept up on us so fast?! In my preparations, I’ve found a sweet spot of God's endless grace and love for us. I know he will go before me and remain in our preparations, journey, finances, and our whole journey in a completely different culture, with a different language, customs and beliefs. The nation we are going to are all sons and daughters of the High King. However, at this point in time, will not go to heaven or have the revelation of His love. They will spend their whole lives working on behalf of a dead idol. As Christians, God is the number one in our lives, and is the reason for all joy and peace and love… and these people do not have it! Nor do they have anyone around them who could lead them into this. God want us to partner with him to tell them!! 

I believe we will see healings and salvations! In Jesus’ name, people will be saved!!
